Idea Development - Business Concept Execution

Before I started my company in early 2008, I was a stay a home mother with non-enthusiastic plans to return to my prior career.  On a whim, I created a t-shirt design for my two year old son, went to the craft store, bought some iron on paper and shirts and printed them on my home printer.  Touting positive statements, I thought this idea might be liked by other moms when shopping for a nice alternative to the kinds of shirts that are out there. But I had no idea where to start!  I enlisted the help of Goals! Coaching, and within one phone conversation had a full page to-do list on making my idea into a reality. Once this list was checked off, we talked again and came up with a plan focusing on the goals I wanted to achieve with my company. 

My coach could clearly see the big picture and readily helped me move past the details that were weighing me down; like a simple checklist.  It’s very easy to get stuck and feel vulnerable when everything is at risk. Whenever I felt stuck, my coach got me back on track by helping me to stay focused on the final prize.  

About 5 months later, my small idea became a reality when I launched my online children’s clothing website.  My company would not be where it is today if I had not been for my coach's guidance.
